2026 – 2027 SCHOOL YEAR VACANCIES Internal Candidates Only Department of Bilingual Education & World Languages P.L.U.S. – Proficiency in Language and Universal Support Program The P.L.U.S. Program begins on September 14, 2026 and runs through May 27, 2027 Positions Dates and Locations Salary/Requirements Administrators to: Develop and implement language acquisition curricula Assist and support with all curriculum, instruction and assessments tools Provide building administrators and classroom teachers with student progress reports Plan for end of the year culmination project Schedule parent meetings and presentations Check in with teachers and provide feedback in the implementation of the curriculum Collect data & attendance Ensure program is meeting timeline expectation Point person to locate substitute staff (if needed) District Wide Supervision Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:05 p.m. – 6:05 p.m. Salary: $99.62 per hour NYS SDL Certification Knowledge of SIFE and ELLs Knowledge of current CR PART 154 & CR Part 80 Internal Candidates Only The Hempstead Union Free School District is seeking qualified personnel to serve in the P.L.U.S. (Proficiency in Language and Universal Support) Program, a Title III-funded extended-day academic support program designed to strengthen English language proficiency and academic achievement for multilingual learners.
