2026 - 2027 SCHOOL YEAR VACANCY Internal Candidates Only POSITION: DISTRICT PODCAST PRODUCER The Districtwide Podcast Producer will oversee the development, production, and publication of a student-led podcast series featuring approximately 18 biweekly episodes during the school year. The position will support student voice, media literacy, digital storytelling, and districtwide community engagement. QUALIFICATIONS: - Current employee of the Hempstead Union Free School District. Certification in English Language Arts or Theatre is preferred. - Experience working with students in media, broadcasting, journalism, performing arts, or related extracurricular and academic programs. - Ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, administrators, and community stakeholders. - Experience with audio recording, editing software, and multimedia production tools preferred. - Commitment to promoting student voice, media literacy, storytelling, and community engagement. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Coordinate student participation. - Guide content development. - Manage recording and production schedules. - Ensure quality control. - Facilitate the distribution of podcast episodes that showcase student achievement, district initiatives, school programs, and community events.
