2026 - 2027 SCHOOL YEAR VACANCIES Internal Candidates Only POSITIONS: 21 ST CENTURY ENRICHMENT TEACHERS The Enrichment Teacher will provide engaging enrichment activities once per week, for one hour in support of the after-school program. The teacher is responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and positive environment where students can explore new interests, build social skills, and participate in hands-on learning experiences. LOCATION: Barack Obama, David Paterson, Joseph A. McNeil, and Rhodes Academy KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and lead one-hour weekly enrichment sessions for students in the after-school program. Facilitate a variety of age-appropriate activities such as: Arts and crafts Gaming and recreational activities Yoga Cooking Crochet Encourage student participation, creativity, and collaboration. Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful learning environment. Supervise students at all times during enrichment activities. Prepare and manage materials and supplies needed for activities. Adapt activities to meet the diverse needs and interests of students. Communicate effectively with after-school staff regarding schedules, student engagement, and any concerns. Follow all program policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid NY State Teacher certification Experience working with children or youth programs preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to lead engaging and interactive group activities. Creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm for enrichment programming. Background in arts, fitness, recreation, education, or related fields is a plus . DATES : November 2, 2026 to January 15, 2027 and January 16, 2027 to March 31, 2027 DAYS/HOURS: Monday – Friday, 4:15 P.M. – 5:15 P.M. (One day per week for eight consecutive weeks) COMPENSATION: $58.79 per hour CLOSING DATE: June 4, 2026 Internal Candidates Only
