2025 – 2026 SCHOOL YEAR VACANCY Office of Adult and Community Education POSITION: ADULT BASIC EDUCATION (ABE) FAST TRACK INSTRUCTOR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach literacy and mathematics to adult ABE students. Employ project-based learning strategies to enhance student engagement and comprehension. Integrate real-world work experience to ensure practical application of skills. Monitor and manage Fast Track packets, ensuring student progress is accurately tracked and documented in accordance with NYS Adult Education guidelines. Collaborate with district staff to maintain quality and compliance in all program materials and reporting. LOCATION: ABGS Middle School DATES: March 19, 2026 – June 30, 2026 DAYS/ HOURS: Monday -Thursday, 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM, Saturday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM QUALIFICATIONS: - Valid NYS Teaching certification - Demonstrated experience in teaching literacy and mathematics. - Knowledge of strategies for diverse adult learners. - Ability to design and implement curriculum that drives student success and encourages lifelong learning. - Experience with student progress tracking or program monitoring a plus.
