2024 - 2025 SCHOOL YEAR VACANCYPOSITION: SECONDARY PHOTO AND AV PRODUCTIONS LOCATION: Hempstead High School REQUIREMENTS: Lead and assist students to manage and control the lighting and sound at Dr. David B. Gates II Auditorium throughout the school year. Prepare, present, and perform at least 3 school led plays and/or musicals featuring students outside of regular school hours.Prepare, present, and participate or perform in at least 4 district led music related performance or concert featuring students outside of regular school hours.Attend monthly department meetings.Prepare, present, and participate or perform in at least 2 community led music related performance or concert featuring students outside of regular school hours.Attend student and district related NMEA festivals, NYSSMA, NYSTEA, All-County rehearsals events.Lead and promote the Drama Club including organizing and attend two trips per school year.Prepare students and attend District events such as Hispanic Heritage Month, Celebration of Lights, Black History Month and All-District Concert events.Where appropriately prepare students for competition and college auditions.Provide promotional videos for upcoming music, theatre, and sporting events.Weekly podcasts / videos reflecting on High School / District events and news.Maintaining and promoting the AV media footprint from created AV productionsParticipating in at least 2 AV and Media Competitions.STARTING DATE: August 28, 2024COMPENSATION: Service Assignment IIICLOSING DATE: June 27, 2024
