The Uncertified Substitute Teacher accepts teacher coverages via AESOP and checks in with clerical or administrative staff upon arrival at school. The Uncertified Substitute Teacher is responsible for implementing the daily instructional plans of the Classroom Teacher in an effective manner, while maintaining a classroom environment favorable to learning.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Implement the instructional plans prepared by the teacherMaintain accurate records and report back to the department supervisor at the end of the dayCoordinate the child’s educational goals with other providers, therapists, and staff PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree preferredHold a high school diploma or its equivalentComplete all required workshops: Child Abuse Identification, School Violence Intervention and Prevention and Dignity for All Students ActNew York State Fingerprinting PERSONAL QUALITIES:Capacity to manage multiple responsibilities and competing demandsDemonstrated ability to work in a calm and respectful mannerMaintain a positive, encouraging attitude to motivate othersCandidate must enjoy working with children COMPENSATION: Uncertified Substitute Teachers are paid a per-diem rate of $125.00 per day (40-day limit, for up to an additional 50 days) CLOSING DATE: August 5th 2022
