2021 - 2022 SCHOOL YEAR VACANCIESHempstead Public Schools SIG Targeted SupportThe MTSS Grade-level Lead teacher position involves long-term school-based support; designed to provide a school-wide approach to engaging in data-based decision-making related to program improvement, high-quality instruction and intervention, social and emotional learning, and positive behavioral supports necessary to ensure positive outcomes for teachers, and students. Positions: 2 Lead Teachers Middle School, (Grades 7 & 8) Qualifications: Valid New York State CertificationLocation: A.B.G.S. Middle SchoolDuties: The primary objective of the position? Assist with the coordination of, at minimum, 3x per school year, high-quality assessments (i.e. iReady) for screening, including scheduling and administration? Assist Instructional Coaches with the analysis of data from multiple sources to better understand student/teacher needs? Coordinate the alignment of MTSS supports at the right intensity and frequency, according to the student’s needs.? Serve a point person with FHI360 to support students/teachers through the design and implementation of early warning indicators response systems.? Assist with the facilitation of building-level meetings incorporating Early Warning Indicators (attendance, behavior, course performance)? Ensure systemic actions support and encourage all students/teachers.? Assist in the promotion of collaboration to support students/teachers and provide stakeholders access to data and tools required to be successful.? Develop opportunities for parents: to help them understand their child’s needs, so they can be supportive at home.? Work with the Community School Director to provide supports and educational opportunities that the school does not have the resources to accommodate? Partner with Family Engagement Coordinator to engage parents and communities as consumers of data? Serve as a liaison between PLC/grade-level/department team and MTSS team? Attend grade level PLC/MTSS meetings? Assist with the identification trends in student/staff needs across grade-level or content area? Serve as member of Attendance committee and other school-based committees.
