The District is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and student-centered individual to serve as the Modified Baseball Head Coach. The successful candidate will be committed to fostering skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and character in student-athletes at the modified level. The position plays a vital role in building the foundation of our baseball program. while supporting the educational mission of the district.Responsibilities:Organizing and conducting daily practices and supervising gamesTeaching fundamental baseball skills, rules, and strategies appropriate for modified-level athletesPromoting sportsmanship, teamwork, accountability, and respectEnsuring the safety and well-being of all student-athletesMaintaining equipment, facilities in an organized and responsible mannerCommunicating effectively with players, parents, coaching staff and administrationUpholding all NYSPHSAA, Section IX and District policies and regulationsCoordinating with JV and Varsity coaching staff to support program continuity.Qualifications:Previous baseball coaching and/or playing experience is preferredDemonstrated ability to work effectively with middle school-aged student-athletesStrong leadership, communication and organizational skillsNYS Coaching certification (or willingness to obtain)CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Completion of all required NYSED coaching courseworkNYSED fingerprint clearance is required.Please submit a cover letter and resume for consideration.
