The District is seeking candidates for an anticipated full-time probationary Elementary Teacher position.Description of the position:Plan, prepare and deliver culturally responsive lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning and engagement;Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modify instructional methods to fit individual students' needs;Communicate with the Instructional Support Team and parents regarding student progress and areas for growth;Utilize relevant technology and instructional materials to support and differentiate instruction;Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with colleagues;Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds;Encourage family involvement in students' education and ensure effective communication with students and families;Promote a classroom environment that is safe, welcoming and affirming for all students;Work in a collaborative teaching environment, including co-teaching and interdisciplinary planning;Communicate effectively orally and in writing;In depth knowledge of social emotional learning approaches and experience in implementing SEL to cultivate a classroom that is affirming and welcoming;Thorough knowledge of the NYS elementary learning standards;Knowledge of the RTI process and ability to effectively communicate with the Instructional Support Team and parents regarding student progress and areas for growth;Demonstrate knowledge of NYS Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Frameworks;Ability to analyze data to improve instructional practice and student learning outcomes;Ability to engage in self-reflection with regard to performance and professional growth; actively seek professional learning opportunities.Qualifications:NYS Childhood 1-6 certification is required;NYS B-2 certification, is preferred but not required;NYSED fingerprint clearance.Please submit a cover letter and resume for consideration.Job ID: 23-10
