The Highland Falls - Fort Montgomery Central School District is seeking full-time leave replacement Speech Language Pathologist/Speech Language Therapist for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school year. The school district is looking for an inspiring educator who can serve as the link between school and community in providing services to students, families and school personnel to promote and support students’ academic and social success.The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) conducts individual and group speech sessions to implement treatment plans as part of therapeutic intervention in the area of speech and language developmentThe SLP attends meetings with parents, classroom teachers, and school district representatives.The Speech Language Pathologist updates quarterly progress and related service logThe Speech and Language Therapist assumes primary responsibility for providing services for children needing evaluation and/or remediation for speech and language deficits. Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives.Maintain daily records of student progressReview student progress and submit reports in a timely manner.Submit progress updates and IEP goals in speech for annual reviews, requested reviews and graduating children.Utilize standardized tests as well as clinical observations to assess students’ strengths and deficits and prepare written annual evaluation reports.Provide consultation to classroom staff in the area of speech and language. Participate actively as a member of the school’s Response to Intervention (RtI), attend regularly scheduled staff and team meetings.Requirements:Speech and Language Disabilities CertificationNYS fingerprint clearancePlease submit a cover letter and resume for consideration.
