The Highland Falls - Fort Montgomery Central School District is seeking full-time School Social Worker for the 2022-2023 school year. The school district is looking for inspiring educators who can serve as the link between school and community in providing services to students, families and school personnel to promote and support students’ academic and social success.Qualifications: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required; New York State School Social Worker Certification is required; New York State TEACH fingerprint clearance is required; Spanish Speaking Preferred but not Required.Successful candidates should have/be: Knowledge of how to develop and implement a staff in-service training program in the area of social justice and restorative practices; An individual who can uphold our district’s core values of Readiness, Inclusion, Social Justice, and Empathy; Experience providing interventions and related supports that will assure positive academic and social outcomes for all students; Excellent collaborative, clinical, organizational and documentation skills; Experience meeting the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students in a diverse community; The ability to establish a shared commitment to the goals of the school and the District by building strong relationships with administrators, fellow staff, students, and parents alike; Knowledge of how to develop a staff in-service training program.Responsibilities: Build positive relations with school staff, administration, support staff, students, community members and families; Collaborate with district and building leaders to develop capacity on topics such as restorative justice and restorative practice; Provide professional development, training, and/or presentations to build the capacity of the district community in the implementation of restorative practices; Develop strategies that emphasize prevention and whole school implementation of restorative practices; Utilize data to inform educational practice and strategies on a district level; Assist in the revision of policies, and codes of conduct as they relate to the implementation of restorative practices.
