HFM BOCES Special Education is accepting applications for a full-time, 12-month Administrative Coordinator. The successful candidate will join a team of Administrative Coordinators responsible for assisting the Director of Special Education in the implementation of high-quality, welcoming, and inclusive special education programs and activities offered through shared services for component school districts in Hamilton, Fulton, and Montgomery counties.The successful candidate will be results driven and expected to demonstrate positive leadership and interpersonal skills with staff and students in dynamic programs.Essential FunctionsUnder the direction of the Director, plan, implement, and evaluate programs to support the education of children with disabilitiesWorks closely with CSE Chairpersons of the component districts on the implementation of student IEPs and supervision of contracted servicesAssist the Director in serving as a cultural leader in terms of communicating and supporting the desired goals and various initiatives of the Division and the HFM BOCES missionAssist in the general supervision of assigned programs and staff, as determined by the Director Assist in the administration of and compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, policies and procedures affecting the organizationResponsible for daily instructional program, discipline, and students and staff schedulesConduct Annual Professional Performance Reviews as assignedLiaison with host school assistant principals and principals and transportation officials Attend CSE meetings and provide advisement regarding student placements *Salary is commensurate with education and experience.Job QualificationsNYS certification as a School Building Leader (SBL) or School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) is required. TEACH ClearancePer Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, to be employed in a position designated by a school district or BOCES as involving direct contact with students, a clearance for employment from the State Education Department is required.
