The Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery BOCES is seeking an Instructional Coach (0.60 FTE) who will be responsible for working with districts in a variety of roles. The successful candidates will possess strong interpersonal skills, classroom teaching experience and the ability to facilitate professional development. This probationary, 10-month tenure-track position, with some days over the summer, is in the tenure area of "Instructional Support Services" and candidates must hold a valid New York State Teaching Certificate.Expected duties:Serve in the development and support the implementation of instructional plans that align to NYS standards, district goals and curriculaWork with teachers and administrators to analyze student data, diagnose instructional needs and identify research-based instructional strategies to close achievement gaps.Provide individual and/or group instructional coaching and mentoring to teachers to improve classroom instruction for all learnersManage and distribute instructional resources to teachers and provide training on the use of those resourcesEncourage and support the implementation of technology and innovative strategies in the classroomExtensive understanding of NYS learning standardsExtensive understanding of various instruction strategiesQualifications/Experience:Classroom teaching experience (5+ years preferred)Experience in development, preparation and presentation of professional development (preferred); training will be providedExperience / Ability to utilize data to guide and support instructional strategies to close performance gaps (preferred); training will be providedFormal job offer/selection is contingent on ability to obtain a fingerprint supported criminal history background check through the TEACH system prior to working.
