The successful candidate will inspire and mentor students as they develop original research projects, apply the scientific method, and compete at regional, state, national, and international science competitions. Recent student achievements include Regeneron Science Talent Search Scholars, Regeneron ISEF finalists and award winners, National STEM Festival Champions, and numerous first-place finishes at regional and state science competitions. In addition, the District is investing in the future of STEM education through the development of a brand-new STEM Center currently under construction, creating expanded opportunities for innovation, collaboration, design, engineering, and scientific discovery. The successful candidate will: Teach and help coordinate the High School Science Research Program. Guide students through all stages of the scientific method, including question development, literature review, experimental design, data collection, statistical analysis, interpretation of results, and scientific communication. Mentor students conducting independent and original research projects across a wide range of scientific disciplines. Develop partnerships with university researchers, industry professionals, laboratories, and STEM organizations to support student research. Coordinate participation in science fairs, symposia, competitions, and research conferences. Foster ethical research practices and adherence to all research regulations and protocols, including Harrison's Institutional Review Board.
