The Harrison Central School District, a high-performing suburban district located in lower Westchester County, New York, is currently seeking a visionary leader to serve the Director of Fine & Performing Arts. This K-12, district-level leadership position requires candidates to hold valid New York State certification in administration (SDA or SDL), certification as a music or art teacher, and at least seven years of successful teaching experience. Administrative experience preferred.The expertise and responsibilities required of this position include, but are not limited to:Providing visionary leadership to promote the development of an integrated, K-12 fine and performing arts program.Coordinating all facets of district-wide music and art productions and performances, including budgeting, staffing, logistics, and community outreachSupervising K-12 curriculum, instruction, and assessment for the music and art programs district-wide.Observing and evaluating K-12 art and music teachers to enhance teacher performance.Designing and delivering professional development to promote teacher growth and enhance program effectiveness.The salary and benefits for these positions are highly competitive for Westchester County, including:Minimum starting salary: $150,904 (higher with experience and/or doctoral degree)Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insuranceTuition reimbursement benefit
