The Harrison Central School District is seeking candidates who hold NYS certification in special education for a full-time, year-long leave replacement position in a well-supported elementary self-contained special education classroom (8:1:2) for students who participate in NYSAA. The preferred candidate will have experience using ABA methods working with students on the autism spectrum and other developmental disabilities. The preferred candidate should be highly collaborative, skilled in providing individualized instruction, knowledge of positive behavioral supports, and be familiar with/have knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices and how to utilize them to support students' overall communication.This position includes:Highly competitive salary: $77,935 (MA Step 1) - higher with experience and/or graduate credits beyond the master's degreeCollegial mentor supportExtensive professional development opportunities
