The Harrison Central School District is seeking qualified candidates who hold New York State certification in Special Education for a full-time, tenure-track position in a 12:1:2 elementary classroom, starting September 1, 2026. Harrison is an International Baccalaureate school district that is deeply committed to authentically seeing, valuing, and supporting each student to ensure equitable access to learning opportunities. We do not track students or impose prerequisites for participation in IB courses. Instead, we focus on providing the necessary support to empower both students and teachers to rise to the challenge. This position includes teaching elementary students who have language-based learning disabilities and require a modified curriculum. This is an ideal position for candidates who want to teach in a highly supported 12:1:2 classroom with the support of a teaching assistant and a teacher aide.
