The Harrison Central School District is seeking candidates who hold NYS certification in special education for a probationary position in a highly supported high school self-contained PACE (12:1:2) special education classroom with students who participate in NYSAA. The students who participate in our PACE classes are working on functional life skills as well as academic skills that will prepare them to be as independent as they can be post-secondary. Preferred candidates will have experience working with students with developmental disabilities at the high school level, knowledge of and experience using ABA methods, have experience with systematic phonics and writing instruction. are well-versed in behavior intervention strategies, have experience with teaching pre-vocational/vocational skills, and are highly collaborative.
