Secondary Special Education Teacher PostingThe Haldane Central School District is currently accepting applications for an anticipated full-time position through June 29, 2026. The candidate must be New York State Certified Special Education (7-12). Content area certification in science is preferred; content certification in reading or math will also be considered. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to creating a supportive learning environment and school culture, knowledge of best practices pertaining to science/math/reading instruction in a high school or middle school setting, and a strong desire to grow professionally. Additionally, the candidate will have experience acting as a Case Manager to students with IEPs, including advocating for students, communicating with families, and fostering an inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have well-developed oral and written communication skills, will have experience writing IEPs and SMART goals, administering standardized educational evaluations, participating in CSE meetings, and partnering with general education teachers in co-taught classes to enhance the learning experience for all students.Haldane is a small, close-knit school community whose campus is nestled atop the village of Cold Spring.
