Position: District Clerk/Board Secretary Location: Superintendent’s Office Hours: M-F, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, 12 months Effective: July 2023 Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with experience Job Summary: Perform highly responsible and confidential work for the board president and the superintendent as it relates to Board of Education (BOE) matters and in conjunction with the superintendent’s secretary.Complexity of Duties: Work independently. Be proactive, resourceful, and possess good business acumen. Exhibit high levels of professionalism, patience, and tact. Be flexible with work schedule, as needed. Work closely with building/central administrators, school counsel, union/parent leaders and community members. Be proficient in Acrobat Pro, Excel, G-Suite (Google Apps) and district systems.Responsibilities:Provide clerical duties and support to the BOE and superintendent. Maintain BOE calendar of events.Prepare, organize and distribute board agendas in cooperation with the board president and superintendent.Attend all BOE meetings, keep records of proceedings, prepare official minutes, record votes on any motion.Prepare and publish all legal notices concerning district business; provide notice of annual district election and public hearing, special/adjourned district meetings and all other such notifications as required.Handle annual budget vote and voter registry; act as clerk of any district voting or election and maintain accurate records of all proceedings; research and evaluate results and prepare reports.Manage all required protocols for written notices, appointments, registration materials, etc. as it relates to the board of registration and inspectors of elections.Keep and preserve all records, books and papers belonging to the office of the district clerk.Maintain and update BOE policies.Coordinate BOE advisory committees.Serve as custodian of the district’s official seal and notary public to the board and district staff; administer Oath of Office for board members and district officers.Interact with residents, parents, community members, press, government officials and outside agencies.If interested, please apply on OLASjobs.org. no later than July 11, 2023.
