Summary: Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent for Business, the successful candidate will administer the business services of the district to assist in the realization of our educational goals and objectives, and provide optimum services within the financial resources available. The School Business Administrator will be responsible for providing direction and supervision of the district’s business office staff and ancillary departments and related functions.Qualifications: Minimum of three years public school business office experience. Master’s Degree with earned degree in business or accounting preferred. NYS certification: SBA or SDBL. Responsibilities:Manage the day-to-day general business operations, including accounting, auditing, benefits, insurance, payroll, purchasing, treasury and capital projects. Oversight of ancillary departments, including facilities, food services, mail services, print shop, security, and transportation. Develop and implement administrative procedures to assure business services are economical and effective. Assist with the supervision of the district’s financial affairs. Assist with developing, administering and monitoring the annual budget. Prepare financial and support service data for the community/public.Assist in financial reporting as required by state and other governmental agencies. Collaborate on collective bargaining, risk management, investments, debt issuance, and short and long-term financial planning.
