Position: 0.6 FTE Speech Therapist (Anticipated) The Germantown School District is a comprehensive, rural public school district that is dedicated to providing opportunity, resources, environment, and instruction so that all students may be productive, successful, independent, responsible, and contributing members of our global society.As a small rural district, Germantown CSD is the center of learning and community life in picturesque Columbia County. The district serves approximately 500 students in a single PK-12 building. The personalized nature of our building empowers students to learn in a supportive environment that encourages academic excellence and lifelong learning. Students are also encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities such as academic/leadership clubs, volunteerism, and sports. The District is located 40 miles south of New York State’s Capital, Albany, and 120 miles north of New York City with spectacular views of the Catskill Mountains and Hudson River which have long served as the backdrop for artists.Our District goals are to provide a safe, inclusive environment for all, promote community engagement and to continue to develop innovative PreK-12 curriculum, instruction and assessment.Germantown CSD has an anticipated opening for the 2024-2025 school year and is now accepting applications for a 0.6 FTE Speech Pathologist. This position would require the Speech Therapist to work three days a week. RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver speech and language therapy to students with varying abilities, including classified students and general education students. This would include CPSE, CSE and K-2 Speech Improvement students. Conduct comprehensive speech language evaluations for initial and reevaluation meetings through the CPSE and CSE Administer speech screenings to general education students as neededDevelop IEPs and developmentally appropriate goals Progress monitor both IEP and Speech Improvement goals Complete reports for CSE or Speech Improvement purposesParticipate in MTSS CPSE and CSE meetings as neededProvide consultation to teachers and teams per IEP mandates POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: NYS Certification in Speech and Language Pathology. Bachelors required.
