Greenburgh-North Castle UFSD is seeking a full time School Counselor for our Yonkers-based Greenburgh Academy. The position is a full-time 10 month position with 10 days required over the ESY program. General Activities:Assist with the development of the master schedule, and student schedules.Assist in the intake and orientation of new students.Assess student potential through aptitude tests, interviews, and goal setting.Determine student strengths and passions using assessments, interviews, and planning.Assist staff with the use of SIS. Troubleshoot basic problems.In accordance with District guidelines, assist in maintenance and retrieval of records as required (Report Cards/Transcripts).Work directly with students to provide support services.Work closely with the Building Principal, Assistant Superintendent and other administrators to address student challenges and opportunities.About Greenburgh Academy:Located in Yonkers, NY, Greenburgh Academy is a small special education school servicing at-risk youth. Our rigorous curriculum equips our students for Regents or local diplomas, with the possibility of career-focused credentials through the CDOS program. Guided by New York State standards, small classes and intervention services ensure academic mastery.
