ANTICIPATED VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT ASSISTANT COOK - ELEMENTARY HOURLY Salary: As Per Contract Glen Cove City School District is committed to recruit and hire the most qualified staff members who are dedicated to the success of all students and the Glen Cove City community. Qualifications : Experience in large scale cooking preferred Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs Must have full fingerprinting clearance Essential Duties (include, but are not limited to): Assist in all areas of meal preparation, service, and cleanup Follow batch-cooking procedures and serve food properly and attractively Cook and follow standardized recipes Place, receive, inspect and check all food, drink, and supply deliveries Ability to assist and complete paperwork and record keeping Complete responsibilities in a timely manner Communicate and work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures (HACCP) Other related duties assigned by the School Lunch Director or their designee Location : Connolly Elementary School Time : 5.9 Hours Per Day Effective : o/a September 14, 2026 Application Instructions : Qualified candidates should apply via OLAS or via email with resume and cover letter to personnel@glencoveschools.org before the deadline.
