Job Description: Support students in developing essential knowledge, skills, and understanding while creating an engaging, inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking. Qualifications: New York State Certification in English Language Arts (7-12) Fingerprinting clearance required Essential Duties (include, but are not limited to): Plan and deliver responsive ELA lessons aligned with NYS Next Generation Standards that facilitate active learning and engagement for assigned classes/caseload Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that supports all students with diverse needs Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning, maintain accurate records, and use data to drive instruction and targeted interventions Model authentic reading behaviors and implement rigorous, engaging instructional methodologies Differentiate instruction and modify teaching approaches to meet individual student needs Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress Collaborate with colleagues and instructional support teams Utilize relevant educational technology and instructional materials to enhance student learning Complete other duties as assigned Application Instructions: Qualified candidates should apply via OLAS with a resume and letter of interest to Andrew DiNapoli, before the deadline.
