PERMANENT SUBSTITUTE TEACHERAlternative Learning CenterLOCATION: Glen Cove High SchoolEFFECTIVE: On or about September 15, 2023 – June 26, 2024REQUIREMENT: NYS teaching certificationFull fingerprint clearance through NYSED OSPRARESPONSIBILITIES:• Supervise students in the Alternative Learning Center• Respond to referrals made by staff on student discipline as designated by the building principal and assistant principals• Collaborate with the building principal and assistant principals to continue the implementation of restorative practices• Counsel/interact with individual students on behavioral issues• Assist in the maintenance and implementation of Attendance Policy & Practice• Coordinate with classroom teachers to ensure students have access to their classwork while in the ALC• Collaborate with the attendance office and building principal and assistant principals in the daily management of attendance for a safe school environment• Other duties as required and assigned by the building principal and assistant principalsSALARY: $136.00 per dayDEADLINE: August 25, 2023
