Greenburgh Graham UFSD, a Special Act School District serving a high-needs student population, is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven, and experienced Assistant Principal to join our leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to lead in a setting designed specifically for students requiring intensive academic, behavioral, and emotional support.We are looking for an instructional leader with a deep commitment to equity, trauma-informed practices, and restorative approaches—someone who can navigate the complexities of a Special Act environment while building strong relationships with students, families, staff, and partner districts.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Principal in leading all aspects of school operations and instructional programming within a trauma-sensitive, student-centered environment.Support and supervise special education services; collaborate with CSE teams to ensure the fidelity of IEP implementation and compliance with Part 200 regulations.Evaluate and support instructional staff through observation, feedback, and coaching to promote teacher growth and student achievement.Collect and analyze data to inform decision-making, drive intervention strategies, and improve student outcomes.Promote a safe, nurturing school culture with high expectations, structure, and relational trust.Act as a liaison with community agencies and home districts to ensure wraparound support for each student.Qualifications:Valid NYS School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Leader (SDL) certification required.At least 3–5 years of teaching or pupil personnel experience, preferably with students with disabilities, emotional disturbance, or in high-needs settings.Strong working knowledge of restorative practices, the CSE process, and special education regulations.Experience in evaluating teachers and providing instructional leadership.Proven ability to lead in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment and build positive relationships across diverse teams.Prior administrative or school leadership experience required, particularly in a Special Act, alternative, or therapeutic school setting.About Greenburgh Graham UFSDGreenburgh Graham is a Special Act School District that serves students with significant emotional and behavioral needs.
