Intermediate School Principal The Greene Central School District is seeking a dynamic and innovative educator to serve as its next Intermediate School Principal. Greene Intermediate School services students in grades 3-5, which includes 191 students. The District is very proud of its academic performance, high graduation rates, and the multiple educational opportunities it provides. The candidate should demonstrate strong leadership skills, highly successful classroom experience, knowledge of curriculum and effective instructional practices. The district is looking for a visionary leader, who can facilitate and collaborate a progressive educational vision and who possesses the ability to build consensus with staff, students, and parents.This 12-month position will support the district's mission, core values, and strategic objectives while leading the Intermediate School. Reports to: Superintendent of SchoolsQualifications: Hold, or be eligible for, New York State School Building Leader.Collaborative approach to problem solvingHas prior teaching or administrative experience, particularly literacy & math instruction.Have a strong background in teaching and curriculum.Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skillsA vision for continuous school improvementPerform observations and evaluate members of the faculty and staffCreates and maintains a welcoming, safe, engaging, and rigorous learning and work environment.Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and parentsExperience with implementing schoolwide procedures to reduce maladaptive student behaviorsStrong understanding of the MTSS framework and data-driven decision-making protocols.
