Garden City Union Free School District is seeking a passionate & qualified Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Student Support Services team. The SLP will provide speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with individualized Education Programs (IEPs), working collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals to support student success.Responsibilities:Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings and evaluationsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and IEPsProvide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disordersCollaborate with teachers, special educators, and other staff to support students’ educational goalsMaintain accurate documentation of services, progress notes, and required reportsParticipate in IEP meetings and contribute to team decision-makingStay up to date with best practices and continuing education in the field of speech-language pathologyQualifications:Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication DisordersCurrent NYS licensure as a Speech-Language PathologistCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred (CFY considered)Previous experience in a school setting preferred but not requiredStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsReferences (3 professional references preferred)
