Position Overview: We are actively seeking an experienced and innovative Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. This pivotal role is designed for a passionate leader who believes in creating dynamic and transformative educational environments and is adept at curriculum design, staff development, and instructional leadership. Key Responsibilities: • Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the K-12 curriculum in alignment with state standards. • Collaborate with school principals, teachers, and stakeholders in evaluating and refining instructional practices to ensure academic excellence. • Oversee professional development opportunities to support teacher and principal growth and enhance instructional strategies. • Analyze student performance data to identify areas of growth and implement strategic interventions. • Stay updated with the latest educational research, trends, and best practices in the areas of innovative learning spaces, PBL, instructional technology, literacy and numeracy, and integrate these into curriculum design and instructional strategies. • Facilitate open communication with parents, community members, and staff regarding curriculum and instructional initiatives. • Manage curriculum budget and resources efficiently. Qualifications: • New York State SDL Certification. • Minimum of 5 years of successful leadership experience in curriculum and instruction. • Proven experience in curriculum design, instructional practices, and teacher training. • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. • Ability to make informed decisions based on data and best practices.
