Your Role: The Family and Consumer Science Teacher will engage students in differential learning experiences for the range of skill levels and developmental needs found in the classroom, managing multiple instructional activities simultaneously, when appropriate. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Follow NYS Family and Consumer curriculum for grade level students, and prepare hands on lesson plans covering topics such as (but not necessarily limited to): consumer science, nutrition, teamwork, relationships, and environment and family.Mission: We strive to give our clients support, resources, and the ability to heal through the work of animal-assisted therapy and nature-based learning all while developing the skills and confidence to grow into independent young adults.The Family and Consumer Science Teacher will engage students in differential learning experiences for the range of skill levels and developmental needs found in the classroom, managing multiple instructional activities simultaneously, when appropriate.
