The successful candidate will begin on or about September 1, 2024. This is a full-time probationary appointment leading toward tenure. Preference to individuals with Technology Certification. Those working toward Technology Certification will also be considered. This is an opportunity for a motivated teacher to build a program. Responsibilities:Challenge and educate students in a classroom settingDevelop and implement engaging lesson plansAdhere to the established teaching curriculumMaintain positive relationships with students and parentsDocument and share student grades and evaluationsMaintain the health and safety of all studentsCollaborate with special education and academic intervention servicesKnowledge of computers, technology, wood working, and trades is strongly desiredQualifications:Strong classroom management skillsAbility to build rapport with students, parents, and staffExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong leadership qualitiesIn accordance with New York State certification requirements for TechnologyCertification is preferred, but applicants pursuing certification (nearing completion) are also encouraged to applyPreference given to applicants with multiple certifications Application deadline is May 31st, 2024Salary and Benefits: Competitive and commensurate with experience- As outlined in the most recent GBTA Collective Bargaining Agreement
