Essential Functions:Maintain a philosophy and mission that reflect the intellectual and developmental needs and characteristics of young adolescents. Design an educational program that is comprehensive, challenging, purposeful, integrated, and standards-based.Establish a classroom environment that supports both academic excellence and personal development.Design classroom instruction appropriate to the needs and characteristics of young adolescents.Build a depth of understanding and ability in an area of study: human services and family studies, food and nutrition, textiles and designEncourage and teach students about the importance of sustainability and food waste reduction.
