Instructional Technology Coach The successful candidate is a child-centered educator with a demonstrated ability to work with school staff in the ongoing development of their technological skill set with alignment between core content areas, related NYS standards and alignment of the NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards. This role includes the duties and responsibilities listed below. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Design, deliver, and establish ongoing collaboration with teachers in the meaningful use and implementation of technology to improve instruction by ways of co-planning, co-teaching and reflectionSupport the implementation and integration of the NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards; fostering interdisciplinary connections between core content areas and computing, computational thinking, cybersecurity and digital literacyFacilitate training and integration of K- 8 coding platforms including but not limited to Codesters, Kodable, Code.org, etc Identify areas of alignment between NYS NGSS and NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency standards to intentionally integrate educational technology in core content areas Instruct faculty and staff in the use of instructional technology systems including, but not limited to Google Suite including Google Classroom and Google Meet, Classlink, Screencasting software, Nearpod, Achieve 3000, Flipgrid, Smart Notebook, Castle Learning, Discovery Education Network, etc.Analyze software usage data with Classlink Analytics and data to monitor progress towards district goalsTroubleshoot low-level technology issuesWork collaboratively with other members of the instructional coaching team and instructional technology team, including professional developers, computer specialists, and techniciansCandidates must posses: ¨ Appropriate NYS certification ¨ Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relations with students, parents, and staff ¨ Understanding of meeting the needs of multicultural students AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
