The Floral Park-Bellerose SD is hiring a .5 Speech and Language Therapist.Qualifications and Selection Criteria:Masters degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Speech/Language PathologyNYS professional licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence General Responsibilities:Complete in-depth diagnostic evaluations of students’ speech, language, and communication abilitiesProvide instruction and support for students with autism and other intellectual disabilities.Work positively with staff and communicate effectively with administration/parents.Develop and implement effective goals, techniques, and lessons.Incorporate available technology (software, adaptive equipment, AAC devices, internet research)Use effective proactive and reactive behavior management strategies.Analyze and make decisions based on data.Application: Please submit a cover letter and resume on OLAS by August 30, 2024.
