10 Month Position: SBL or SDL RequiredJob Summary: The Administrator for MTSS, SEL, 504 Plans, and Student Support is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of the district’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework, ensuring comprehensive academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions across grades K-12. This role also spearheads the integration of a district-wide Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) program, ensuring that students receive consistent support at all grade levels. Additionally, the administrator is responsible for coordinating 504 plans, assisting with student discipline, and providing administrative coverage for principals when needed. This individual works collaboratively with district leadership, teachers, support staff, and families to create a student-centered, data-driven approach that enhances student success.Key Responsibilities:MTSS Coordination (K-12):Program Development and Implementation:Design and implement a comprehensive MTSS framework that integrates academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports.Develop district-wide policies and procedures for MTSS implementation, ensuring consistency across all grade levels.Facilitate the use of evidence-based practices and interventions to support students at all tiers.Ensure alignment of MTSS initiatives with the district’s five-year strategic plan, including SEL integration and curriculum alignment.Data Collection and Analysis:Establish a data-driven process for identifying student needs and monitoring progress across all MTSS tiers.Support educators in using screening and progress monitoring tools to track student growth and determine intervention effectiveness.Analyze and report MTSS-related data to district leadership, staff, and stakeholders to drive decision-making.Collaboration and Support:Work closely with teachers, interventionists, special education staff, and administrators to implement tiered interventions effectively.Provide ongoing training and professional development on MTSS practices, data interpretation, and intervention strategies.Engage families and community partners in understanding and supporting MTSS initiatives.Collaborate with special education staff to align MTSS with IEP/504 processes and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.Professional Development and Training:Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and meetings to enhance staff understanding and implementation of MTSS.Stay informed on best practices, research, and state/federal regulations related to MTSS and disseminate relevant updates to district staff.Program Evaluation and Improvement:Regularly review and refine MTSS processes to ensure effectiveness and sustainability.Conduct needs assessments and recommend improvements based on data and stakeholder feedback.Develop action plans for continuous improvement of student outcomes and program implementation..District-Wide SEL Program Leadership:Design and implement a comprehensive K-12 Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum that aligns with the district’s strategic goals and New York State SEL benchmarks.Work collaboratively with school counselors, social workers, and teachers to ensure SEL is embedded into daily instruction and school culture.Provide professional development for staff on trauma-informed practices, emotional regulation strategies, and classroom management techniques that support SEL.Develop and implement SEL assessments to measure student progress in self-awareness, relationship skills, emotional regulation, and decision-making.Organize district-wide initiatives, such as SEL-focused assemblies, mindfulness programs, and peer mentoring opportunities.Partner with families and community organizations to extend SEL learning beyond the classroom and into students’ home lives.504 Plan Coordination:Oversee the identification, evaluation, and implementation of 504 plans for students requiring accommodations.Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding student access to educational resources.Provide training for teachers and staff on legal requirements and best practices for implementing accommodations.Monitor and update student 504 plans annually, ensuring interventions are effectively supporting student success.Student Discipline and Behavior Support:Assist in developing and enforcing school-wide discipline policies that align with restorative practices and student support frameworks.Work with students, teachers, and families to address behavioral concerns and implement appropriate interventions.Support crisis intervention efforts and assist in conflict resolution strategies.Serve as a liaison between students, staff, and administration in managing behavior expectations.Principal Coverage and Administrative Support:Provide administrative leadership in the absence of building principals.Assist in day-to-day school operations, including scheduling, staff supervision, and event coordination.Support school improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with district policies and state regulations.Participate in staff evaluations, hiring processes, and professional development initiatives as needed.Work Environment:Works primarily within school buildings, collaborating with students, teachers, administrators, and families.May require occasional evening meetings, professional development sessions, and crisis intervention support.This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that Fort Ann Central School District provides a comprehensive, student-centered support system that enhances academic achievement, social-emotional well-being, and overall school success.
