Position: Earth Science Teacher (Regents Level)Location: Fort Ann CSDPosition Type: Long Term LeaveStart Date: March 30, 2026Job Description: Fort Ann Central School District is seeking a qualified and motivated Science Teacher to teach Regents-level Earth Science and other elective courses for a long term leave. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that prepares students for the NYS Regents examination while fostering scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and real-world application of Earth science concepts.Responsibilities Include:Teaching Regents-level Earth Science in alignment with NYS Learning StandardsPreparing students for the NYS Earth Science Regents Exam, including laboratory requirementsDeveloping and implementing lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materialsMaintaining accurate student records and assessing student progressCollaborating with science department colleagues and school staffParticipating in professional development and school activitiesMaintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environmentPreferred Qualifications:New York State certification in Earth Science (or related science certification)Prior teaching experience, particularly at the Regents levelStrong knowledge of Regents curriculum, labs, and assessment expectationsEffective classroom management and communication skillsCommitment to student achievement and continuous professional growthCompensation:Salary and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications in accordance with district contractsApplication Process: Interested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, and copies of certification
