Position Overview: Fabius-Pompey Central School District is seeking a motivated and collaborative School Psychologist Intern for the 2026–2027 school year. This internship provides a comprehensive training experience under the supervision of a certified school psychologist, supporting students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development in a middle/high school setting. Responsibilities: Assist in conducting psychoeducational evaluations, including cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments Participate in the development of psychological reports and present findings to multidisciplinary teams Support the Committee on Special Education (CSE) process, including meetings and documentation Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success Provide counseling services to students individually and in small groups, as appropriate Assist in the development and implementation of behavioral intervention plans Participate in crisis intervention and support services as needed Engage in data collection and progress monitoring Adhere to ethical and professional standards of school psychology Qualifications: Enrollment in a graduate program in School Psychology (Master’s, CAS, or Doctoral program) Eligibility to complete a supervised internship as required by the program Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to supporting diverse learners and promoting equitable practices Preferred Qualifications: Prior practicum experience in a school setting Experience with assessment tools and data-based decision making Familiarity with NYS special education regulations and CSE procedures Compensation: Stipend commensurate with experience and district guidelines (if applicable).
