New York State Certification is required for the position. Bachelor's and Master's Degree from an accredited college or university along with a valid NYSED building-level administrative certification. Prior teaching or administrative experience of at least five years.The successful candidate:Has had proven success as an academic leader.Has experience and is knowledgeable in the area of literacy education.Understands Professional Learning Communities or has experience working in a collaborative team-based environment.Is committed to high-quality instruction and demonstrates a commitment to providing leadership, support, and resources to the faculty.Uses data to inform school-based decisions and to drive continuous improvement.Creates and maintains a welcoming, safe, engaging, and challenging learning and work environment.Promotes collaboration, encourages cooperation, and motivates staff, students, parents, and the community to high levels of achievement.Is highly organized, possesses a strong work ethic, demonstrates initiative, and has experience leading teams.Communicates honestly and effectively with students, staff, parents, and the greater school community.Possesses unquestionable integrity and will embody our district’s mission, vision, and core beliefs.
