ANNOUNCEMENT OF PROFESSIONAL OPENING BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIORAL ANALYST (BCBA)PROBATIONARY POSITION Effective:2024-2025 School Year Responsibilities: Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments, develop Behavior Intervention Plans, and provide training and ongoing support to teachers and teaching assistants responsible for the implementation of BIPs. Monitor and ensure the accurate implementation of intervention plans and appropriate use of behavioral strategies. Establish and maintain data measurement, collection, and analysis systems for students and use professional knowledge and independent judgment to strategize continuous improvements. Participate in Committee on Special Education meetings, presenting data, reports, and contribute knowledge and expertise around behavioral support. Maintain highly organized, consistent, thorough, and systematic record keeping (session notes, data sheets, etc.) Provide staff development, training, and modeling for team members Provide consultation and training to parents and/or guardians as outlined in IEPs. Provide consultation regarding crisis interventions and critical incident supports; complete incident reports as needed. Participate in professional growth activities such as conferences, classes, team meetings and program visitations; remain a lifelong learner. Qualifications: NYS Board Certified Behavioral AnalystNew York State Teaching Certification in Special Education (K-12, 1-6 or 7-12)Minimum of 2-3 years experience providing direct behavioral supports and interventions to people with disabilities.
