School Psychologist (Probationary) The Eastport-South Manor School District is looking for a certified School Psychologist. Key responsibilities of this role include: NYS Certified School Psychologist; Knowledge of NYSED Part 200, 201 and Federal IDEA regulations; Conduct psychological assessments, write psychological reports, interpret results for students/parents, write IEPs, participate in CSE/team meetings, and Multi-Tier Support System Meetings Provide individual and group therapy per IEP requirements. Lead crisis intervention efforts and develop functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans. Integrate psychological services into the classroom environment as appropriate. Assist staff in the design and implementation of appropriate interventions and accommodations for students. Contribute to district SEL program development that furthers the integration of social, coping, and problem-solving skills in the classroom. Provide support services and community resources to caregivers as needed. Coordinate and/or collaborate with a range of individuals/agencies to promote and provide comprehensive services to students and families. Collaborate with the related services team and school principal to provide appropriate services and make recommendations as necessary.
