POSITION: Teaching Assistant – Bilingual Spanish (FT-10 month)PROGRAM: Family Education Outreach ProgramsSITE/BUILDING: Roanoke House, Riverhead, NYQUALIFICATIONS: · NYS Level I Teaching Assistant Certification· Bilingual in Spanish· Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environmentRESPONSIBILITIES:· Provide instructional support and advocacy for Spanish-speaking children of migrant agricultural workers in school setting as well as supplemental support programs at Roanoke House· Provide parents with access to information on community-based resources and assist with school registration and other school-related needs· Facilitate and encourage attendance of educational field trips, programs, and events· Participate in regular staff meetingsSTART DATE: September 18, 2025MINIMUM STARTING SALARY: $29,489.00 (plus $1,000.00 stipend)Studies show that women and members of some groups are more likely to underestimate their qualifications for a position.
