POSITION: Assistant Principal (PT) - Regional Summer High School at Bay Shore 2025 ASSIGNMENT: May 2025 – August 21, 2025 SITE/BUILDING: Bay Shore High School Bay Shore Middle School 155 Third Avenue - or - 393 Brook Avenue Bay Shore, NY 11706 Bay Shore, NY 11706 QUALIFICATIONS: · NYS SAS/SDA/SBL or Administrator Certification· Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environmentRESPONSIBILITIES:· Reports to ESBOCES Regional Summer School Administrator(s) and Principal· Recommends Hiring of Teachers and Support Staff· Provides direct supervision of ESBOCES Regional Summer School Instructional Program delivery by conducting classroom observations, walkthroughs and supports the administration of the August Regents examinations· Coordinates Student Reporting and Billing by following necessary regulations· Facilitates August Regents Examination Administration· Assists the Principal of the ESBOCES Regional Summer School Program with the Close-Out process· Communicates clearly with all staff, administrators and parents/guardians before, during and after the ESBOCES Regional Summer School program concludesSPECIAL CONDITIONS:· Responsibilities related to planning will begin as soon as successful candidates are identified, anticipated May 2025. >>> Important to note that you MUST be in attendance on the following dates: <<<Registration Days: July 1, 2025 and July 2, 2025(Registration hours are from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.)Program runs from: July 7, 2025 – August 21, 2025 (Monday – Thursday)(Program hours are from 7:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.)THESE POSITIONS ARE DEPENDENT UPON STUDENT ENROLLMENT AND DISTRICT COMMITMENT FOR SUMMER SERVICES START DATE: May 2025SALARY: $8,620.00 Studies show that women and members of some groups are more likely to underestimate their qualifications for a position.
