POSITION: Administrative Coordinator for ENL/Bilingual Programs (FT) PROGRAM: ENL/Bilingual Programs LOCATION: Islip Office Center, Islip, NY QUALIFICATIONS:NYS SDA or SDL CertificationExperience working with English Language Learners and their families; preference will be given to candidates with Bilingual or ENL teaching or clinical experienceMaster’s degree in education, TESOL, Bilingual Education, or related fieldBilingual Spanish/English preferredDemonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment RESPONSIBILITIES:Establish and oversee all aspects of high-quality programs and services outlined in grant and/or program deliverables with fidelity to the vision of those grants/programs; current assignment is to the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant, however, responsibilities may shift as grant or program needs require.Monitor data reporting procedures to ensure requirements and timelines are met; monitor effectiveness, provide staff development, ensure all activities adhere to grant and/or program requirement.Establish collaborative working relationships with staff at ESBOCES, districts and schools, Institutions of Higher Education, community-based organizations and school communities in the region as needed or required by assigned grants/programs.Develop and maintain partnerships with stakeholders that may include school district staff, parents, community leaders and organizations, and school-based staff to promote grant programs, services, and activities within the communities served.Support, supervise, and evaluate professional and clerical staffEnsure that all activities support the achievement of grant or program deliverables, are the result of data analysis, and are based in research.Attend all required regional and statewide meetings for training, information dissemination, and/or professional development in Albany or other locations in NYS as grant or program needs require. SALARY: $130,201.00 START DATE: January 2, 2024
