Director of Instructional Technology & Learning Analytics - Anticipated Opening. Position Summary:The Director of Instructional Technology & Learning Analytics is responsible for all facets of the district’s technology and data management. The Director is responsible for providing leadership and support to meet district goals in the areas of innovative application of instructional technology, meeting the NYS Computer Science and Digital Fluency standards, maintenance of technology infrastructure, and operationalizing diverse student data to improve teaching and learning. Qualification-Experience-Knowledge:NYS School District Leader CertificationExperience with and deep knowledge of instructional technology, information literacy, and data analysis Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Reports to the Superintendent of Schools, attends all Board of Education meetings, and prepares reports for the Board as requested by the SuperintendentAssists in the formulation of a vision and objectives for the instructional technology programCollaborates with the Superintendent and district stakeholders to transform the technology vision into a long-range plan with specific goals, objectives, and action plansCoordinates the management of student data across multiple platforms and departments to comply with state and federal regulations and to identify areas for improvementAssists teachers and district administrators in collecting, interpreting, and analyzing the full range of district data available to support school improvement effortsCollaborates with the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction to develop, implement, and evaluate professional development to meet the needs of all district personnel regarding instructional technology, information literacy, data analysis, and support technologyObserves and evaluates library media specialists, teachers, and other support staff as assignedAssists in the integration of technology applications in the K-12 curriculum including curriculum assistance regarding hardware usage, software applications, and leveraging the use of technology in the classroom for innovative learning opportunitiesStays current with developments in instructional technology and information literacy to provide leadership creating and sustaining a vision for how technology will support the district’s strategic goalsAssists in the development and coordination of the budget to accomplish the technology visionMaintains relationships and active participation with educational leaders in instructional technology at local, state, and national levelsAssists the Board of Education and Superintendent in development, revision, and implementation of district policies and procedures regarding the use of technology and student data including Ed Law 2D complianceDirects, coordinates, and ensures implementation of all tasks related to technical, infrastructure standards and integration of technology in all facets of district operationsAdditional duties and responsibilities assigned by the Superintendent Apply by January 17, 2023, online at www.olasjobs.org RÉSUMÉ MUST ACCOMPANY APPLICATION
