About East Rockaway UFSD The East Rockaway School District is located in Nassau County, NY. The district is home to over 1,100 students from grades Pre-K through 12. The district is seeking a motivated individual who meets the following qualifications: New York State Teacher Certification: Teaching Assistant Certificate (Level I, II, or III).Experience: We welcome applications from individuals at all levels of experience. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities, which are subject to change: Administer universal screening and progress monitoring assessments to identify and track student learning needs.Analyze and use data from multiple sources to inform targeted instruction and measure student progress.Implement research-based intervention lessons in reading and/or mathematics with fidelity in small group settings.Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and intervention teams to align support and share student progress.Demonstrate a "kids first" mindset with a commitment to ongoing professional growth and continuous improvement. The East Rockaway School District offers a competitive salary and benefits package, which is established in the East Rockaway Teacher’s Association Contract for the 2024-25 school year.
