Position Overview: The East Rockaway Union Free School District is anticipating a need for a short-term substitute position for a technology education teacher. This position will begin on or about January 26, 2026. The district is seeking a motivated individual who meets the following qualifications: New York State Teacher Certification: Technology Education (Initial, Permanent, or Professional)Experience: We welcome applications from individuals at all levels of experience. Key Responsibilities: Experience teaching at the middle and/or high school level preferredExemplary organizational and multi-tasking abilitiesWillingness to participate in extracurricular activities Experience with CAD, coding, and robotics is highly desirableAbility to teach a wide variety of technology and media arts coursesKnowledge/experience in video production, animation, and web design, desirableThe East Rockaway School District offers a competitive salary, which is established in the East Rockaway Board of Education Non-Contractual Salary Schedule for the 2025-26 school year.
