Elementary Permanent Substitute Teacher The East Rockaway School District is seeking Elementary Permanent Substitute Teachers for Rhame Avenue Elementary School. The district is seeking a motivated individual who meets the following qualifications: New York State Teacher Certification (Preferred): Early Childhood (Birth – Grade 2), Childhood Education (Grades 1-6), Students with Disabilities (Grades K-12), Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages. **Candidates who are working toward NY State certification will also be considered**.Experience: We welcome applications from individuals at all levels of experience. Working with students with disabilities preferred. The ideal candidate will have the following responsibilities: Report daily to Rhame Avenue Elementary School and serve as a dedicated substitute for all K-6 classrooms, delivering lessons and maintaining continuity of instruction across all grade levels and subjects.Maintain a consistent presence in the school, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment through flexibility, dedication, and reflection.Participate in training and coaching opportunities provided by the school to enhance instructional skills and classroom management strategies.Salary ($130/day) established by the East Rockaway Board of Education for the 2024-25 school year.
