Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and innovative High School Art Teacher to provide engaging instruction in visual arts, promoting creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a curriculum that meets New York State Standards in Art Education, while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement an engaging visual arts curriculum aligned with state standards. Teach a variety of art techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, digital arts, and more. Foster an inclusive classroom environment where students from diverse backgrounds can express themselves through art. Encourage creative thinking, problem-solving, and personal expression through hands-on projects and collaborative work. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual artistic growth. Maintain classroom materials and equipment, ensuring a safe and organized workspace. Participate in school events, art shows, and extracurricular activities related to the arts. Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support the overall educational mission of the school.
