Facilities Custodial & Maintenance HOURS: 3:00PM to 11:00PM During school year SALARY: $53,622 / + (possible specialized skill compensation) Description: Performs routine custodial work and maintenance tasks in the care and upkeep of facilities. The work involves cleaning and maintaining buildings, grounds, equipment and surrounding areas, as well as assisting higher-level maintenance personnel part time in repair and installations. Individual demonstrates strong attention to detail and dependability, with a willingness to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Duties: Cleans and maintains buildings; mops, waxes, buffs and strips floors; vacuums and washes carpets; dusts and polishes furniture, fixtures and equipment; Cleans lavatories and replenishes supplies; washes windows, walls and woodwork; empties wastebaskets, Moves furniture and equipment as directed, other related tasks; - Operates and maintains custodial and maintenance equipment and tools; - Performs outside maintenance work, including snow removal and groundskeeping; - Performs minor maintenance and repair work independently, - Assists maintenance personnel part time in the installation and repair of equipment, including motors, pumps and heating and cooling units; building components, including piping, fixtures and basic carpentry work; other related tasks.; Qualifications: - (1) year of experience in custodial work, building maintenance or a related field; Trade experience preferred. - Pass Background check - Valid NY State Driver License - Ability to operate tools and equipment - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
